Infant & Toddler Learn-to-Swim in Marin County

Confidence. Safety. A Lifelong Skill.

At Protea Swim Co, learning to swim starts with building trust—in the water, in the process, and in the coach. Our program is designed for the earliest stages of swim development, helping infants and toddlers move from first-time water comfort to essential safety skills like floating on their back, breath control, and safe pool entry and exit.

Every child learns differently, and we structure each lesson around their unique comfort level and developmental needs. Some may take time to explore and play before they’re ready to float independently. Others progress quickly into early stroke work. Our role is to meet them exactly where they are and guide them forward.

To keep engagement high, we incorporate child-friendly floatation tools like swim bar bells, kickboards, fins, and toys, creating lessons that feel playful while reinforcing important skills. Children learn best when they’re having fun—and when they feel safe and supported.
